Input to Xamine/z390 are SMF records from RMF or CMF and one (optional) record type created by Xamine/z390. After recalculations the information is stored in VSAM datasets.
The analyzing part is done in a PC environment by accessing the VSAM datasets interactively via a web bridge. There is no need for moving files between platforms.
All statistics are presented both in graphic and Excel report format. You also have the opportunity of saving the statistics in PC databases and later do the analyzing “offline”. These PC databases could off course also be mailed to other users who has the Xamine/z390 PC part installed.
