XMN Software was born in January 2001.
The goal is to be a leading provider of software tools for technical analyzing and planning but also to do consulting.
We have more than 30 years of experience in IBM mainframe systems programming, capacity planning and software development.
Our first product (Xamine/z390) hit the market 2001 and is today controlling more than 60 000 MIPS of mainframe capacity for 19 companies in the Nordic countries.
We have all kinds of clients (manufacturing, banking, insurance, telecom, service bureaus etc.)

Why capacity planning?
The IT business of today is one of the most stressed areas in the business world. It’s not enough to deliver good technical solutions. If you aren’t as cost efficient as your competitors the customer goes somewhere else.
To be a winner today you can’t afford to take wrong decisions. One area that must be focused is capacity planning. You need to have balance between installed and needed capacity. Too much processor power means a lot of wasted money, primarily because of higher cost for software license, while lack of power means disappointed customers (bad response time etc.). You need reliable facts, and you need them instantly. This applies to data centers as well as outsourced customers.
